Hara Rintaro + Hara Yu

Artist unit of HARA Rintaro, an installation artist and HARA Yu, a painter. In addition to their respective activities, they have been increasingly working together and creating artworks that people of all ages can enjoy and experience. Those include “Midsummer Night’s Dream” (ETAT2015) which they transformed an entire building of a closed accommodation in Tsunan into an work, “Ping-Pong Sea”(Setouchi Triennale in 2019), a table tennis place with unique tables for playing ping-pong on Magijima, and “Water Village” (Splish-Splash Fair at KINARE in 2019 and 2020). Their picture book called “The Moon Princess being Smelled by – Japanese Old Tales Remixes” received the Encouragement Prize at the 11th Japan Media Arts Festival (Entertainment Division) in 2008.
