Please note that “Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2022” will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the entire period of the Triennale, and with the exception of some facilities, almost all works will be closed to the public.

Not only are all the artworks open to the public, but also a number of special exhibitions and special programs that have been additionally opened to the public have started.
●Kuwakubo Ryota’s “LOST#6” re-opening and special exhibition

●NUNAGAWA Campus 2022 Summer Program
The sculpture course, which produced “Offerings from the earth,” and other departments of NICHIGEI will hold special workshops and events such as sculpture, animation, and insect bot making. In addition, a soccer school by FC Echigo-Tsumari, a women’s agricultural soccer team, will be held.
●Ekaterina Muromtseva Solo Exhibition: Women in black against the war
This exhibition presents the “Women in Black” series, dedicated to the wave of protests against the invasion of Ukraine by women dressed in black and holding white flowers, which took place in various Russian cities. (21 July – 22 August at Museum on Echigo-Tsumari, MonET)
●Fukasawa Takafumi Special Exhibition “Akiyama Living and Art Rebuilding Museum – Taguchi Hiromi Akiyamago Matagi Hunting Video Screening
The former Oakasawa Elementary School in Akiyamago is being prepared as a new center for the intersection of mountain life and art for the year 2024. This year’s event will focus on showing footage of the hunting of MATAGI, and will provide an opportunity to reconsider the culture of Akiyamago with valuable footage of the many lost hunting techniques and rituals.

Official Guided Tours
A perfect solution for those who are less confident in driving – these official guided tours, including lunch, depart and complete at Echigo-Yuzawa station. Participants will explore the festival with knowledgeable guides and visit hub facilities as well as new artworks for ETAT2022.
